IL05: Splendors of Caesarea and the Carmel
Caesarea
was founded some 2000 years ago by King Herod, and for over a millenia was the most important port city in the Holy Land. Appreciating its high-techi visitors center, we will stroll among the rich finds from Roman, Byzantine, and Crusaders times.
We then ascend up to the Carmel Mountains to visit and learn about the interesting Druze minority also by having a Druze lunch.
We could also visit the l “Muhraka“
, the traditional site of the battle between Elijah and the prophets of Ba’a, and end with a stroll in the German colony in Haifa, viewing from the different angles the stunning Bahaian Terraced Gardens
, and perhaps having some Coffee and Knafeh in Wadi Nisnas.

IL02: Jaffa and Tel-Aviv
An urban tour showing Jaffa and its antiquities, and the development of Tel-Aviv.
We start with a stroll in the alleys of Old Jaffa

). Passing through the Christian sites, we can appreciate the Home of Simon the Tanner, and St. Peter’s Church

Descending to the port itself, we can have some coffee while viewing the Andromeda rock, and then advance to the Flea Market

By Car we can then proceed into Tel-Aviv, and explore sites like Neve Tzedek
, Rothschild Boulevard
, and Nahalat Binyamin market
, ending at Rabin Assasination site

IL07: To Bethlehem and Herodium
Bethlehem is the hometown of King David, but is more known in Christianity to be the birth place of Jesus. Hiring a palestinian guide, you will be taken into Bethlehem and to the Church of the Nativity
,where Jesus was born by an old local tradition.
We then continue to Herodium
, a fortified hilltop built by king Herod in the first century BCE, and ultimately became his burial site. We will appreciate the new visitors center, the unique finds, and the underground caves made by Jewish Rebels some 2000 years ago.
Nearby we can have lunch in a nice vegeterian restaurant (at Gavna), and also experience a unique live shooting
session in a special anti-terror training facility.
